A Welcome…From Nellie.

Hi, all. For years I have been an actor and a host and I have wanted to do projects that matter. I have been celebrated. I have been kicked around. I have struggled. I have triumphed. A strong love of what I do and where I come from has kept me in the business. I wanted to start this blog to reach more people. For me, life is about more than work. It’s about more than how many followers you have. It is about the quality of work and the quality of the followers.
What makes me who I am? My family. Or…I should say…my families. I come from strong Irish/English roots that were set down in Louisville, Kentucky. I come from strong Italian/Hungarian roots that were set down in Paterson, New Jersey. I was raised in NYC. Upper East Side prep school Manhattan. A journalist for a mother. A businessman for a father. 2 sisters and a brother. We spend too much time together…in a good way. And it’s been this way even we we were all living in places far, far away. Beijing, Hong Kong, London, France, San Francisco, Washington, DC, Dallas, Louisville. We are a doctor, an actor, a diversity liaison for a large company, and a newscaster. And we compete all the time.
I am a design expert who has remodeled and flipped houses for years and have been a host on HGTV. So my design expertise is both personal and professional.  I am a fashion and trend expert who has had a few shows, including a show at ABC News and many appearances on The Style Network and E! Entertainment. I just love style!
I am a correspondent who interviews celebrities and, more importantly, people who are doing Goodall over the world.  I am a travel expert because I am on a plane several times a week.  I want to share info and experiences on these topics: family, home design, fashion, trends, and interviews with good people.
